The C-12 Transport Aircraft Mechanic - AM-2 (King Air/C-12 A&P)

Performs organizational and intermediate level maintenance on King Air 200/350/1900 and/or C-12 aircraft.�(*Second Shift 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM).

  • The AM-2 requires a Minimum of Five (5) years of hands-on C-12/King Air experience, per the Union CBA.

  • A Valid FAA A&P Certificate is required, and the ability to obtain a US Govt Secret Clearance, (US Citizenship is required).

  • Is responsible for servicing, troubleshooting, repairing and modifying aircraft systems to ensure continued airworthiness.�

  • These tasks are performed on avionics & electrical systems, engines, flight controls and airframe components.

  • Repairs are performed using hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment such as shears, sheet metal brake, welding equipment, rivet gun, and drills.

  • Reads and interprets manufacturers? maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.

  • Perform duties as outlined in the purpose of this position.

  • Comply with written Customer and company maintenance and logistics procedures and policies.

  • Comply with the FAA regulations as applicable.

  • Know, understand and comply with the requirements outlined in the contract performance work statement (PWS).

  • Comply with aircraft records procedures outlined in DA PAM 738-751.

  • Perform engine run or taxi operations.� Meet requirement to obtain certification within 12 months of employment.

  • May be required to work and/or rotate for a multiple shift operation.

  • Required to provide own hand tools, marked, shadowed and inventoried AR I/A/W 95.20 (GOP).

Minimum Requirements

  • High School degree or equivalent is required.

  • Five (5) years of C-12�and/or King Air 200/350/1900, Turbo Prop A&P aircraft mechanic experience is required for the AM-2.�

  • Valid and Current�FAA A&P Certificate Required.

  • Valid Driver's License required.

  • Tools are Required; Must possess own Mechanic Tools and Toolbox, Shadowed and Etched required.�

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Govt SECRET Security Clearance. Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials and authorization. US Citizenship is required to hold a US Govt Secret Clearance, and facility credentials and authorization to work at this facility.

  • Willing and able to work shift work and hours, Second Shift 2:30 - 11:00 PM is required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ensure aircraft discrepancies are properly recorded in accordance with approved maintenance procedures and within the terms of the contract.

  • Perform aircraft recovery missions as necessary.

  • Deploy the overseas locations to support operations requirements.

  • Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English.

  • Reliable, self-motivated, and able to deal with stressful situations and timeliness�while maintaining professional and non-confrontational attitude.

  • Be physically able to deploy to overseas locations.

  • Be physically able to perform aircraft mechanic duties.

  • Ability to move freely about the interior and in the unpressurized area aft of the aft pressure bulkhead and meet aircraft specific specs for weight limit.

  • Stand, squat, sit, walk, work with arms overhead for extended periods of time.

  • Pull, push, lift up to 50 lbs.
